Duro Olowu Spring 2009

Duro Olowu a designer originally from Nigeria was Inspired by West African masquerades and the film Black Orpheus for his 2009 Spring Collection. All of the prints and accessories he uses has a tribal theme to them. Colorfully bold prints were worked into sweeping gowns and patch-worked in other areas.
Visually this is a handful but the beautiful silhouettes are classic and chic this allows the clothes to be wearable. Insanely beautiful when executed properly. Only for the bold.....
