The Vogue Society Spotlight: Style Icon Edie Sedgwick

Edie Sedgwick a heiress from California was the 60s It girl, She hung out with all of Hollywood, dated the hottest guys and turned 1960 upside down with her "different" since of style, You see Edie was surrounded by art her entire life , she went to Art school and later on became part of Andy Warhols inner circle "Warhol Allstars" so the art definitely influenced her sense of style.  Edie was the muse of legendary artist Andy Worhol, alot of his work was inspired by her, she also appeared in many of his films, she was also known for spending her way through her entire inheritance in six months.

However the late Edie Sedgwick is remembered today for her iconic style that we can still see around today, especially her waif-like figure, short cropped hair, long chandelier earrings, leotards, black tights and charcoal eyeliner. Every girl wanted to mimic her style.....

Fun Fact: Actress Sienna Miller played Edie in Factory girl, released early 2007.

"A girl should be two things, classy and fabulous."

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."
